Digipak ideas

These are our first ideas of what we think our digipak should look like. The first two are Alexandra's and the second two are Iesha's. We decided to look into different ideas for the front over mine incorporates the band while Iesha's is a representation of the title midnight wanderer.

This prezi shows I have looked at other similar bands to ours and where they promote themselves such as on social network sites. This has given me ideas on how i can promote our band to the best of my ability and get them the most exposure possible.

When looking at similar bands i chose to look at the script and coldplay as they share the same target audience as our band, 13 fathoms


Myspace

I started off looking at their MySpace page, a website used by all mainstream, current and unsigned artists to promote themselves to the public and fans, Myspace is mainly used for artistes and not a lot of the public now use it as Facebook and Twitter have take over.

Both myspace pages allows fans to buy their albums online and other products also allows fans to listen online.

I have looked on both Facebook sites and both bands have many followers, this page allows them to share pictured and give out information for the public, this also allows the public to share the information out advertising the band to a broader amount of people.

Twitter 

I had a look at their twitter page which didn't include as much about the band but allows the members/crew to update their followers on the latest information about tour dates, singles & albums release dates etc. It allows for fans to contact and tweet back to the bands this had made twitter one of the most popular social networking sites as fans have so many ways to access their page and keep up to date and in contact.

As both bands are mainstream they have a variety of fans and a mixture of people from Rock to footballers all around the world  as social networks have given artists the chance to gain a broader fan base and get their music out to everyone. This is like how our bands fan base would be like many different people.

Insperation for our digipak

Looking at other artists and press shots for them and their albums have given us ideas to use on our own digipak. The posses these bands use are moody, the lead singer is the one most prominent in the shots, other members in the band are either looking off screen or to another band member. Most of the men wear gun linear which extenuates the eyes.
